Faculty Recruitment · Computer Science & Engineering

A competency assessment that measures understanding, not recall.

Every paper is assembled at random from a curated bank covering the Basket-III, Basket-IV and Basket-V curricula. Questions are written to distinguish a candidate who has taught a subject from one who has merely read about it — and where a subject involves code, you will be asked to write it.

How the assessment runs

  1. 01

    Receive your login

The recruitment office creates your account and shares the email and password with you. There is no self-registration on this portal.

  2. 02

    Choose your track

Research, Teaching, or both. The Research track begins immediately. The Teaching track asks you to nominate the subjects you are prepared to teach.

  3. 03

    Sit the assessment

A 50-question paper drawn at random from the bank, under lockdown conditions. Coding subjects require you to write real code.

  4. 04

    Automated evaluation

Objective questions are graded instantly. Written code is assessed against a rubric that rewards approach and judgement over syntax.

Examination conditions

The assessment runs in an enforced fullscreen lockdown. Leaving fullscreen, switching tabs, copying, pasting or opening developer tools is recorded. After 6 recorded violations the attempt ends and is submitted as it stands. Sit it in one uninterrupted session.

Subjects in the teaching track

Nominate between 3 and 6. Your paper is divided evenly across whatever you choose.
